I’ve always wanted to share this but didn’t know where to. I think this community will appreciate it tho. I apologize if my writings not the best. I’m currently in my 3rd year of electromechanical engineering, basically, I’m doing both electrical and mechanical engineering plus focusing heavily on robotics and automation. My dream for humanity is a future where work is entirely carried out by robots and automated systems. I want to see, within my lifetime or shortly thereafter, a world where humans are catered to hand and foot by machines in a manner which is sustainable and can exist in perpetuity. People in my family have made fun of me before for saying I don’t want people to work for anything. But isn’t that something we should strive for? Greater reward for less effort? Well, this is what I’ve decided to dedicate my life to. Please don’t fear immigrants…

In all the time I've worked for this company, I have never heard of a manager sharing their bonus. Is this NORMAL? Why is it an option and why don't they just give our workers bonuses too? When I mentioned that I plan to share mine, I got dirty looks and comments about “opening a can of worms.” I responded that if my team is happy, it…
One of my breaking points was a wedding that cost 1 million over the course of 3 days while I was making 12.50/hr with no benefits in 2019 With that particular job it was a contractor that set up shop in a museum and I did sell them my soul for a solid 6 months but apparently I needed to sell them my soul for 12 months to get insurance and paid time off. The cafe shifts were only 6 hours and it was all or nothing with events so getting benefits required 6 days a week in the cafe and events all year round I loved that career but I maxed at 12.50/hr with questionable benefits without selling my soul to management for about 33-38K salaried When I end up talking to people who can regularly afford to eat at places like that they had no idea how little…
