Genuine Work Help Request
Hey r/antiwork This is a genuine request to people asking for options based on their educational experience. I’m only one year into my university for computer science. And with ADHD and tic disorders getting in the way I’m falling behind far more than I can manage. And my work motivation is minimal and dies out quickly before I break down because of the work. Asking people who’ve made it pay university is there a way to get a job with my one year comp sci study to get income to support myself. If not, what’s the easiest field I can get into to not feel miserable. Everything seems indigestible to me
Inflation is wayyyy over 7.5%(only measured by CPI), gas prices insane, etc. The global elites are pushing for one world global currency which is very very bad for people who are not excessively wealthy. Many people in America, specifically those of my age, are not enthusiastic about working. The generation who raised us certainly get a serious boner for work. I mean my dad never drinks but one night he did and he said how much he hated his life because he worked the whole time. I drink all the fucking time but I remember that. He knows it’s bullshit yet tells me to go get a job (which I have been trying to) but doesn’t see his own life is shitty as fuck. I was lucky in that I was able to take some time of before looking for something new, and recently moved into a service industry job that I love, but doesn’t come close salary-wise to what I was doing before. I’ve been able to make lifestyle adjustments to make this sustainable, but I’m really struggling with all the comments I get about being over qualified, or asking when I’m going to go back to the field that I left. Anyone go through something similar? Any advise?
I was working for a popular Australian burger chain a few years back. I was one of the older staff (ages 16-25 age demographic)I was 21 and most of my co workers were around 16-19. Most of the people at the table are not to relevant to the story except a junior girl who I'll just name as JG. I was sitting at our booth table with a few of the other employees discussing about how it sucked that the law changed about weekend overtime. Luckily this brought up wages and we all sat around the table talking about our pay, this is when JG spoke up about her pay. Now in Aus your pay goes up by a $1 or so until you hit 21 , but the amount she told us was just down right illegal not only in my state but the whole country from what I'm…
