Hi all, At my current employer, Im(28M) second in line in respects to seniority over a department. I was hired 2.5 years ago and can say that I brought a substantial about of skills and relatable career experience that can and could’ve changed this department for the better in a major way. As respectful as I can say it the individual who leads in seniority within this department, doesn’t have any outside experience in relation to the job and lacks very important leadership skills that are a necessity in employee engagement and development. He’s friends with the owner in which he was hired when he was 16( 33 now). So this has been his only career. I find this kind of odd and a little off, I am just curious if this means anything? Is some shady shit going on at work?
Is this normal? Is it whatever? The firm that wants to hire me said it’s cheaper to get my own insurance policy…
