Small Business Owner’s Child Syndrome
You ever notice the how the business owner’ son is always an entitled no worth jackass who pushes conservative bullshit and try’s to make you feel beneath them while contributing nothing themselves?
Fox News interview
Heard about that embarrassing interview with one of the mods and Watters on Fox. What a shit show!
I haven’t heard anything about a pay change and so far it seems I will be taking on more responsibilities in order to be considered for a manager position. Is this common? Seemingly, on the job training with an interim rate makes more sense to me.
Hi everyone, I'm writing an idea for a project in my class and I chose the Antiwork Movement and the Great Resignation. The project is to create some kind of campaign or idea regarding a social issue so I wanted to help educate my class about poor working conditions, bad benefits, toxic work environments, low wages, and what is happening with the Great Resignation. Our hope is that this would be a little 'unbiased' but I really think it would be hard to make it truly unbiased. We do hope it would provide resources for employees and also employers who want to do better for their employees. I understand that Antiwork is mainly about ending work. Although there are a lot of economic issues, my group wants to focus on the social issues in the workplace that Antiwork has been great at highlighting. This is a very new topic for…
How to manage home and work?
Looking for advice for balance in work/home (aren't we all?) My partner (35m) is a salaried Controls Engineer. He has only gotten one raise in 3 years (“blame Covid”) and is extremely unhappy with his workload. Definitely doing the job of 2+ people, while having the experience of a Senior Engineer and no matching title/pay. Now, he's expected to work 16+ hrs one weekend a month. Because of my hours, I typically do all the cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and shopping throughout the week. My question is: does anyone have any advice on how to relieve some stress within the household? I am resentful that all the chores fall on me while still working 40 hr/wk but with his hours, its too late or too much for him,…

he made a vid covering the subreddit yall should see it
I had an interest for computer programming in high school, and thought that it'd be nice and convenient to pursue a software engineering career since it pays well and I thought coding and problem solving was fun. I'm halfway though a CS degree now and my courses and last internship have killed a lot of interest I've had in this field so far, but I plan to continue and at least get a CS job for a couple of years to get stable financially and not let my efforts and money spent so far go to waste. I have a lot of other interests as well, and so many things I want to try out even if they tend to have lower wages, many things from working in a bakery to becoming a park ranger. I want to explore and have fun, and not have to worry about where the…
