Just got headhunted for a really hot job. Company is the type that's building the future of our planet, I can feel good about what I do, and probably get paid well. Everything's going great, they really want me, but then they're like…if we make you an offer, you need to show us proof of your previous salary to seal the deal. Bullshit. I look this up. It isn't illegal (yet) in the country I live in, but it isn't a legal requirement either, which is what their HR keeps telling me. They're doing this so they can pay their staff as little as possible. Doesn't matter what budget they have available for the role or how much they think a person's experience is worth, they want to judge based on previous roles. Apparently the organization is having trouble attracting top talent, and I can tell them why. Doesn't matter…

Power move
Lunches used to be paid. The elusive 9-5 job. I've never had that. I'm working 9-6 right now. That's 9 hours a day.
Thank you very much
I keep nailing corporate job interviews just to get a couple of paychecks and then I dip out. I always make sure to let the good ones know they are being taken advantage of and I hope that they get more of ehat they deserve. Big corporations are using the worker shortage as an excuse to run skeleton crews to maximize profits simultaneously over working and burning out their best employees. Get fucked, corporate goliaths.
I just want to know that what is with these employees who are asking what my last drawn salary was? Aren't my work enough samples good enough to prove that I am good at what I do and that I deserve to get a better pay? I am just so sad that after working so hard and putting so many hours, I don't deserve a high pay? And I am not allowed to negotiate? Is this always going to be like this!? I am just fed up of this attitude Edit: withdrawn salary
Just got a free day off but….
CEO send out an email “go home, spend time with family.” My manager then says “cut out early, ONLY if you don't have work to do.” Like…cmon man. I was excited to go get my kid out early from school to take her to the park but I'm not going to be able to take the day off like everyone else.
Hi all, Thanks for hearing me out (reading this). DO NOT share this anywhere in media; My position and what I’m talking about is not fodder for you to use. I’m a casual worker for a company who provides high/critical care for critical clients that can be/live at home. I’m not a nurse, or medically qualified (but I may as well be in these homes/situations specifically) what I am is somebody that wants the best for whom I’m caring for, and I make sure you’re still breathing. Because I’m casual I will receive phone calls at 05:30 to be at work at 07:00 on my ‘apparent’ days off. After a year, I no longer answer these calls, but as recently as this morning I had one. To the situation: This morning I had 3 missed calls with 2 voice messages, and 2 text messages within an hour. We’re short staffed,…
