I hate working.
Pretty much I started working at a dog daycare 20/ an hour. Tbh I just wanted the assistant manager position. I got demoted for excessive cell phone use when my work email is on my phone 16 an hour with no warning. The fact that all my sales numbers are high, the team loved me, and that all the employees were happy because I wasn’t a Nazi & none of that doesn’t matter. Now that I’ve been demoted they basically are now having the manager of the store baby sitting me and doing shifts with only her. I’ve been moved around to 4 stores in 2 months, 4 different teams, got sexually harassed on my first day and found out that the person just got moved to another store, and I have not even had the chance to actually do my job position since I’ve been hired. I have not…
Iam Male under 30..India. Jumped to IT service field after few of failed home business and personal tragedy. It was a strong referral which got me in. I worked 3years so far with this 20 years old startup. I'm in a team which is a micro aswell as important one. My TL/manager is so loyal to the bosses of organization and takes in unwanted job to satisfy them often. He is 8 years with them..never formed a team till I got in. He speaks to both sides but the results were always positive for the higher officials.I was often pushed to do basic jobs which are level of admin since he also does the same as ordered by bosses. I was asked to complete two certifications, which I completed within deadline. Despite of all these stuffs I work for atleast 3 saturdays in a month ., yeah..same here – My…
If you work a job where you have a deadline and turn in your work earlier? You're getting MORE WORK! YAY! Shitty workers who do nothing but goof off rarely get fired, so all the good works pick up the slack and for the same pay rate. Yay! Doing other people's jobs while they watch! At my work, if you're good in your role, you literally will never get promoted because they want your skills to forever be in that position. Yay! No growth!
So my manager opened a store and has been super helpful and nice the entire time. If he's there and someone couldn't find coverage he would step in to cover. He didn't fuss about dress code or nitpick us. A lot of people say they moved stores because of him and I feel like if he hadn't been my manager there's a chance I would have quit. He sent out a mass text telling us that the district manager had asked him to help another store by stepping up to be their manager. He accepted it. He's probably exactly what the other store needs and I know it wasn't an easy decision. That being said I'm very interested to see how this all goes… Already have confirmation of one person transferring with him. There are a good handful of people who will probably just stick with the store but I'm…
I am so scared of getting a job
“Well, you’re going to have to do it anyway, so stop whining about it and get over it!” Yes, I understand that this is going to come across as whiny and entitled. But I am really dreading leaving college due to the fear of being stuck in a job that pays minimum wage and leaves me in a position where I can’t succeed in life. I won’t have kids, I won’t be happy, I won’t get married. Yes, I know, save up money and be smart, but my fear is I won’t get paid enough to be able to do that because I’ll only spend it all on rent and other essential costs. And then what if I can’t afford rent and live in a cardboard box? I fear being miserable: getting up every day, hating my life and going to bed to repeat the same experience. I fear listening…
I just quit!
Hey people, I quit yesterday, after 1.5 years of promises that were left unfinished by my bosses. I am just fed up with the leash called “stock option”. I started looking for new jobs last week and saw that I can easily find new work, which increased my self esteem quite a bit. My new job pays much more, but I can't shake the fears and anxiety of letting the stock option go. I live in Turkey (shit economy) and a 100k USD in stock options would really secure a life for me here, at least would give me the option to start my own businesses. I still don't regret my decision quitting, but I want to ask you people how you deal with fear of regret that may come in near future. Fyi, current job is in mobile gaming industry, new job will be in AR industry, B2B AR…
google azov battalion DuckDuckGo if you gotta.
I work with this company every year, and every year they offer me 2% – 4% more, which I can’t complain about. But this year, it seems like with inflation up 7.5% and the cost of gas sure to go up, can I use these stats to ask for a higher rate? Are there other stats I can quote to help my case? Thanks in advance.
