So 3 weeks ago, I left my full time job to join a company. From the get go, they wouldnt even give me more than 8 hours as the first day after 7 hours, they told everyone to go home. The next day, I was scheduled for 6. The following for 5, and so forth. It became clear that if we weren't working the entire time we were there, they wouldn't want to pay us, which is why they cut the hours and told my coworkers and I to come In at specific times that they knew would have work e.g. come in at 5 PM – 10 PM instead of 2PM – 10PM. Of course we werent going to be paid for 8 hours while only being their for five hours. Due to this, i was able to work 11 hours instead of the 40 we were promised and…
Nurse resignation denied
I’m a 34 year old woman and I keep getting leg go from jobs. In my life I’ve been let go from 5 of them. Each time I am left feeling like a failure and I just don’t understand what I am doing wrong. I’ve got a degree in architecture, I do project management, estimating, photography, marketing, graphic design, writing, etc. I have worked in all of these fields except photography and have only self published a children’s book. I don’t feel like I have the self control to work for myself. It typically goes that I work somewhere, it goes great for a while, then I start to resent the job in some way (sexism, discrimination, unfairness, bait and switch job role, poor treatment.) instead of leaving, I end up eventually getting let go. I’m sure my attitude is noticeable even if I think it’s not. I’ve sued 2…

Rant about using vacation time
Overall, I actually really like my job and the people there. Our managers support us and listen, and the pay is fair. But I still feel bad or guilty when I want to take time off or when my availability changes (I’m a FT student working PT, so class times dictate my schedule right now). I didn’t take a single day off in my first 3 months, and have only asked for 1 Friday off so far, but I’m planning a vacation soon and asking for a few days off and even though I feel like it will likely be approved, it still stresses me out and I feel bad asking for time off. Just wanted to rant about the culture of being guilted for taking time off and not having your job be your #1 priority. Since I’m only PT, I don’t get much vacation time, so I feel…
I've been working at a convience store for the last several months though soon it'll be changing hands and as such I've been working there a lot less and am getting a different job. But I ended up getting 1 last 5 hour shift and my boss told me they'd pay me in cash which I didn't mind until I got home and realized they only paid 11 dollars an hour, 4 dollars below minimum wage. I called them and they said it's because they paid me in cash and I get more money this way without going through taxes. Is this even legal?
I work as a graphic designer. This morning I found a mail sent on Saturday (i have weekends off) from, i shit you not, my boss father asking for “help” designing a power point??? At first I thought it was company related shit, because what other explanation could it be? Lol no. I got a text from my boss saying her dad sent me a mail asking for help, I asked her if it was company related (because otherwise why the fuck would this random ass dude ask the company's graphic designer for free work??) And she camly said “nope, its for a personal project of his”. Bruh i was so shocked? Pissed off? Completed flabbergasted? How can they be so entitled and out of touch with reality? They clearly wanted free work. I swear I was seconds away from quitting over text, or at least saying something like “I'm…
