Committed the cardinal sin. I was “too good” of a worker to leave the maintenance position. Finally got to another position a year ago. Now they pull me back because they treat them like subhuman servants and almost all of them quit. I'm just the dumbass who can't afford to quit. Upward mobility is only for those who are already in positions of power.

I hate my job lol
I've been self employed for the last two years. Now that I'm a full time student, I needed more set hours so I'm also a full time employee at a local store. I hate it. Basically, give me motivation to walk in…or to not quit on my lunch… or to not walk out at the first inconvenience I experience today.. Seriously, please entertain me. I hate this place and Reddit is my only distraction
Ok I have been doing over time and instead of getting cash I choose to get comp time, so if I work 8 hours of overtime that's 12 hours of come time give since it's time in a a half. But I would would like to get more comp time so I was thinking about if I could have all.my regular hours work be paid in comp time. Yes that means no pay check!
I work at a daycare now and I can see the reasons for turnover rates in all honesty. My body is never as less tense than it is on the weekend. There literally is never a break in the classroom. I’ve learned quickly how I have to desensitize myself to the smell of different kinds of urine or bm filled diapers or pull ups that fill up the bathroom trash can You have to be prepared for more extreme messes in said diapers some days more than usual that take a while to clean while somehow keeping kids safe in the classroom while doing so who want to run around or play or close the bathroom door regardless of what I say or put out for them sometimes. Having kids stick their hands in their diapers and getting poop on themselves if it’s just me in the classroom. Never being…
