We give PTO unlike your previous client, we give sick leave unlike your previous client, we are simpler… Unlike your previous client….we are… A bunch of damn liars. I worked for the same main company (can't say name since ugh I still work there and I want to leave so badly) and this company is global, they contract through every thing you can think of, a big main of health care. I was at my end of trading so happy to get my 3 dollar raise and then a 3 dollar bonus… Then was forced to switch alright now we are bad pay with just the 3 bonus but since we didn't finish officially training, we didn't get the bonus(was literally 3 days away when they MADE us switch). The bonus is now gone they said. But hey now we get our PTO and sick leave…. Look at our time…
Month: April 2022
Told my supervisor I been going through an extremely tough time in my personal life and some at home issues. These have been causing a hard time functioning/doing work given to me. My supervisor has commented on me leaving early for feeling anxious mid/end day and going home and asked if I was alright. Fast forward a week, I told him I haven't been well and was asking him what my options were so I don't burn through all my PTO. His only concern was “well how long is this going to last for?” or “how much longer could this last”. Afterwards, proceeded to scold me about missing an email of an assignment he had for me after I left early and complained about how he had to do it himself edit:I am also doing somewhat better now so dont worry 😀 but still having a hard time working
Negotiating at Offer Stage
Hopefully this is allowed… At the offer stage. Stayed vague and asked for their range, was told the lowest amount and no top mentioned. Answered that worked for me. I am currently making 75% of the offer, I struggled to find something else after being let go during the pandemic. And took what I could get. The offer is, admittedly higher than a lot of what I've been interviewing for. But have other interviews I've gone through. I asked if that was the highest they could go on the offer call and were told they increased it from what I said I was looking for (aka bottom of the range). Which isn't exactly what happened, but whatever. A gambler of a friend says I should decline the offer and when they ask why say I have a better offer. Now, I want this job. So I lose almost all leverage.…
I'll keep this short and sweet since I am currently in the bathroom on my mobile literally shaking. My manager and I have been working together for a few years now at this to not be named mega-company(I'm sure you can guess it). He has always made me feel super creeped out. (I am a 25 F he is a 50 M). HE would always come to the break room when I am in there to try to talk to me. But it is never just “talk”. HE would always comment about my rear about how “fat” it looks today or something. I would always get super creeped out. Well, the other day he crossed the line. We were the only two in the break room and he comes in and does his usual “talk”. Except this time, he actually slaps my rear. I am in disbelief. I kinda just…
My friend has a connection that can get me in as a loan officer straight out of college but I really don’t want to work a sales position. Would processor and/or escrow/title be a better fit?
Utah labor laws:
I originally posted this for advice. Now it’s just to rant. My partner was forced to resign today under the guise that she would receive her accrued PTO. The company prides itself on not firing employees (hence the forced resignation) so I'm guessing this is just standard practice so they can save money. It was clearly stated by my partner before she resigned that she wished for all her PTO hours to be paid out in her last paycheck. Once they convinced her the (forced) resignation would be in her best interest and received her (forced) resignation, the company refused to pay out PTO and referenced my partner to their HR department. Now it’s just the run-around “we will look into it..” “please speak with so-and-so for further..”. We're both poor musicians so it was actually heartbreaking when they said they would be holding onto the PTO. I work for…
I want to throw some keys, db etc. as a revenge but I dont want to be caught. Do you have any ideas how to execute it? Thanks in advance.
