From thus article How many of you have a boss who doesn't tolerate failure?Massive incentives to cover up mistakes, point the finger at others, and lie to everyone. Your real job is not performing your job duties: it's massaging the boss' ego. The article above starts out strong, detailing a recent example of failure intolerance in the Volkswagen workplace, the use of software to fudge fuel efficiency readings. BUT, then it goes on to blame that old chestnut of failure intolerance, helicopter parents: But ask any successful person and they’ll tell you how failure and learning from it contributed to their success. Sadly, so many parents today are robbing their children of this valuable experience. Sure, these “helicopter” parents may be well-intentioned, but they are grossly overreaching. Because they can’t handle seeing their kids truly be challenged, uncomfortable or, god forbid, fail at something, they interfere in every area of their lives. I maintain…

shitty work ethics polices from management is making me so furious, why would the supervisor ask me to do something that they know that could cause the other person in a disciplinary action when I don’t fucking have an authority to say so or even supposed to be the one who’s in charge of that, like bitch now you got me having to deal with that mess by myself because I was asked to do something that I wasn’t even supposed to do and everything is falling on top of my head. I hope you and your shitty business plummet to the ground
Ok I thought you might like to know this /r/antiwork So a trucker isn't allowed to work over a certain amount of hours. Either driving a truck or non driving job. So a employer can hire 3-4 truckers when 2 are enough. Give each trucker barely any hours and save money. The truckers can't get a second job or any other job because of limitations on time working. So it's a glass celling. DOT on duty rules
I'd run a cat ranch, just rescue homeless cats and give them a home. Pretty simple.
Denied pay increase
Good afternoon, I'm a compliance video tech for a mental health company here in AZ. I was hired to “pull video”, but it has turned into me doing the auditors job above me to watch videos, ensure timelines, and figure out what happened in most cases. Then i timeline and label all videos, send them in a nice email then do another. I have done 2600 request since Jan 2020 when hired. I was hired at 19.25 with a 2 year college degree in this “entry level position”. Clearly doing 2600 request day in and day out to ensure we aren't being sued is pretty important. I'm essentially the wheels on the car with everyone else in the car. No video/ no evidence. Do to the increase work load, the higher number or priority request, no longer being able to “flex hours” for things like dentist but instead taking straight…
The disappointments just keep coming. How many issues are there in our workplaces? Upon being hired, I typically find all kinds of uncertainties, poor judgment, and lack of planning. I feel like the janitor of offices, just picking up other people's work garbage.
Lets restart…
“I messed up, I learn from my mistakes” – how often do you hear that? Pointing to others works best, or when there is no longer an open target above all: then resign! GREAT! There would be someone who has experience – and he runs away. What are you supposed to do? Better stay, let's grow together. Mistakes are absolutely human!
So I went to Company A and submitted my requirements (police clearance, ID) because they said I need to pass requirements first before getting an offer in writing. Aside from that they actually also fitted me for the uniform and wanted me to do the drug test. And then they told me orientation would be on Thursday. I didn’t know all this was gonna happen today? I asked, when do I sign a contract? And they said I will sign on my first day. At this point I was a bit too shocked/confused because this is not the process in my home country. I expected, after passing the interview, to get the offer in writing so I can consider it, and then sign it when I agree with it. Is this weird??? Am I just dumb for not understanding this was what I should’ve expected? Mostly I’m bummed because I…
I hear so much from usa friends that their bosses treat them like their evenings and Holliday's are just extensions of work. I was wondering what the response has been to this from folks who have had a WFH ban? It seems like the perfect opportunity to switch to a “I'm sorry I can't discuss work outside of the office as it would breech WFH rules.please leave a message and I'll get back to you Monday “
