I hate working retail and I hate this company.

As the title states I just got fired from a big distribution center and it's the first time I've ever been fired and I don't really know what to do. It feels like bullcrap because I still have a lot of bills to pay, I want to go to college but i was relying on this job to help reimburse tuition, and I really needed the insurance for my therapy,medication and my would've been braces. The reason I got fired was because I had a lot of time of task on 3 different occasions. The first one was I was having very severe anxiety attacks when I was on some pretty rough medication that really seemed incompatible with me, the second time I was vomiting a bunch, and lastly there wasn't any work coming in so all I could do was wait but some how it was my fault I'd…

In terms of minimum wage I understand rising minimum wage to keep up with inflation but I’ve seen some post say raise minimum wage to “keep up with productivity”. What does that mean?

i just walked into my shift that started at 11 and my manager came to meet me and told me to go home and come back at 4, she said she doesn’t have time to explain right now but she can’t have me work me shift today and to come back at 4 to talk about it. I asked her “do i still have a job here???” and she said “well that’s up to you but again i don’t have time to talk about it right now so come back at 4” for context i put in my two weeks notice on april 1st and it all went pretty smoothly even though i’ve had serious problems with this job since i started but i was making a clean exit. are they allowed to send me home and not tell me status of employment??? wtf do i do? should i go…

My AGM decided to schedule me 7 days in a row. The way our pay period lines up, that means no overtime. I had Wed and Thurs off, and I am working from Friday to this coming Thurs. The conversation with her went lile this: Seriously, 7 days in a row? That's kinda harsh. “Oh, boo-hoo, it's not THAT bad.” Couldn't you have scheduled me to be off Fri and Sat so I am not pulling a 7 day stretch? “And have you get TWO weekends off in a row? We canthave that!” Yeah but I don't even get overtime because of our pay-period schedule. “Oh my gosh, get over it!” (I stepped away from her office for a few mintues to cool off, as I was trying not to lose it.
