The health of the economy is no longer accurately measured by how many people aren’t employed. We need a new form of measurement to show that people are earning a proper income in relation to basic cost of living.

Just quit the job from my last post!
I thought about whether to stay or not and decided to challenge myself. If I could find another job before my next shift which was scheduled tonight I would quit said (now former) job. And it worked! I applied online, I called and said I applied online and asked if anyone had seen my application yet. They told me no but the manager was in and I could talk to him if I could get there within the half hour. I flew over there and BAM! Got the position. There's a couple things they need to figure out before giving me a start date but they said I'm hired.
Am I wrong? Nepotism.
LSS. I had my daughter back in 2015. Two weeks vacation paid, after that, no pay. Returned to work after she was 10 weeks old and got her into daycare. My boss' son had a baby (his wife had the baby, not him-also his wife has no job), and he “works from home” now. After 3 months! The company is a small company, blah blah, it just pisses me off!! Working here for 20 years. My daughter gets sick-vomiting, fever of 105-I receive a text after letting the company know she is ill at 11 pm. “she won't be well by tomorrow?” No, she won't! I can't bring her to school. I have no family here besides her dad that works and makes more money, so I need to stay home when she is ill! I'm just so sick of nepotism and bullshit because I don't carry the company name,…
don’t join the military
Obviously. Got baited in by being told by the recruiter that they would pay off my student loans (even tho he knew I wouldn't be in long enough to recieve that benefit.) Signed a six year contract w air force. Regretted it ever since and been in for almost 4 years. Going in everyday with my only motivation being to “make it to the end of my contract” has been hell. The straw that broke the camels back for me was how when I couldn't fucking do it anymore and got myself in trouble they put me on basically 21 days of unpaid slave labor. Didn't think that they acrually did that, or that anyone with a soul would actually use that type of punishment. Cruel, unusual, and entirely unnecessary.
