I was hired on as a Project Coordinator and pushed to the role of Network Engineer within a month despite me informing my manager I have no background in this field. This role works overnights and on the weekends and was a complete 180 on my schedule at the very last minute. When I asked about training I was told the person leaving would be “getting me up to speed” but this person has since already departed the company. My boss wouldn’t entertain the discussion of a pay raise nor even acknowledge this role in itself is a leadership position: I’m in really tough position because I don’t have a higher up manager to go to because he just departed the company as well. I fear if I push back any further I may be fired. This is the best paying job I’ve had and I really don’t want to…

Title. I just know it looks bad if I don’t currently have a job. Can’t I just tell people I still currently work here?
Company wide email
Idk why I even bother trying anymore
I’ve been looking for a job for a couple months now, I keep going to interviews and then getting ghosted. I got as far as getting a job offer so I asked when I could start, what’s the pay, and what my hours would be and got radio silence in response. The fact that this consistently happens after successful interviews and a resumé that’s just stacked with years of fine dining and high volume restaurant experience that shows I know wtf I’m doing when it comes to cooking professionally yet all I get when it comes time to pull the trigger and seal the deal the rug gets pulled out from under me and I’m left with another one sided conversation asking for a follow up that I know deep down will never come. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s getting to the point now that I’m starting to think…
Trolling applications
I’ve been applying to jobs for months now – wasting my time with various cover letters, coding projects, technical interviews. I estimate 10 hours a week. Anyway today I just sent out this for multiple cover letters: I am a great programmer. Some are saying the greatest. my recent lab tests were ‘astonishingly excellent,’ said Harold Bornstein, a gastroenterologist on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. My recent examination showed ‘only positive results.’ My strength and stamina are ‘extraordinary.’ My cardiovascular system is ‘excellent,’ and I have ‘no history’ of drinking or smoking. “What’s more, Bornstein writes, ‘If chosen, Mr. , I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever to work at this company.’ If it worked for Trump, maybe it will work for me. Edit: yes, I’m still working full time.
My last job wasn't even that bad compared to the shit I've read on here. My coworkers were, for the most part, on the same page all really hard workers and smart ppl with great ideas to move our project forward but our product team was trash. It was actually kinda cushy but unbearably frustrating and at the same time I think every lead thought I was incompetent for fuckups that I couldn't prevent because they wouldn't invest the money to do so. Hell one of the leads kept causing me more problems even when I had a handle on things. I was the only one left who knew what was going on and this yahoo fucked it all up every time. Each vacation I took, I'd come back to a MESS I had to clean up even after laying out copious amounts of documentation and training on what to…
It’s this easy.
It seemed to bump up about 1-1.5 years ago when the pandemic started, example. I saw my McDonald's hiring for 12 defaultish, then 14.50 and now back to 12 again.
