first post well, as i predicted, i was terminated before i could complete my notice. i wasted the gas to drive to work on Monday (06/27) after a great weekend camping with my family up north. i was catching up with my coworkers, checking emails, and i may have snuck in an hour of bullshitting with my counterpart D (carries the entire warehouse and inventory system single-handedly) before my manager tapped me on the shoulder. i popped into the conference room and there was the head of HR. let me know how much PTO i was getting paid out and when to expect my last check. my manager assured me that they were totally fine, i should just enjoy my time off and prep for my new position. i felt strangely calm about the whole thing, even though i knew a couple of things he apparently didn’t. two crucial people…
Month: June 2022
Several times I have said “staying up till ten pm doesn’t work for me, I need an earlier schedule” and they never did anything about it. Finally, I gave up and said “if you cannot give me a date in the next week that I am switching to morning shifts, then this is my two weeks notice, effective immediately” And guess what! Suddenly an opening on morning shift. Sick of this BS. Highest paying job in my city that doesn’t require college thought (at an unfortunate 16$/hr) so imma stay. Job doesn’t suck too bad when I’m on a shift I can handle, real sick of management though
I live in Sweden and a month ago I was sent home from work due to a work related panic and anxiety attack. I went to a doctor (for free) who put me on sick leave untiI 30/6, as I was extremely stressed and depressed. For the first 2 weeks, I get 80% of my salary paid by my work place , no questions asked, no note needed. After that, I need a note that the doctor sends to my employer, and then I ask for support from the government. The government is tough, but will pay you some money to live, as long as you can show you cannot work My boss has been nothing but supportive throughout this time, and has clearly expressed that they want me to be okay when I come back, and that they wish that this do not ever happen again. He has asked…
boss is stealing wages
A few days ago I noticed my hours I worked and my clock in/out times where not matching. I am a manager so I have admin access to the payroll and punch correction shit. So I took a look at my shifts and every single one has been changed to about 3 hours being taken off per shift. And I am actually able to see who edited it and lowandbehold it's My boss. And today I found out she's doing it to everyone in the store. Gonna document everything I can and report to department of labor and corporate. If nothing happens imma sue the shit out of my boss and the company I work for because this shit is ridiculous
