Sprained my knee on Monday..
First time poster (for here) but been lurking a while.. on mobile too.. So as the title says I sprained my knee or something on Monday, i immediately called my boss to let him know what happened and he told me just sit down get a knee brace on it and ice it. Keep it elevated. I did this for the remainder of my shift because he didn’t want to risk losing a sale, I work in a gym that’s locally owned. There was no sales that day. Yesterday I limp into work for my shift when my manager gives me a funny look and informs me that our boss told him I wasn’t working today, in no way did my boss inform me of this, I call my boss who guilt trips me into staying for four hours because again he doesn’t want to miss a sale. I’ve been a music teacher for 17 years this august. Some private tutoring, some class work with public schools. I’ve been at a private studio for the last three years and the 70 year old owner wanted to sell it after a recent school-shooting in my home town. I was approached about buying it. I told him I have no savings or retirement after sticking out the pandemic with him. I wrote up an offer, and it’s been months since we started this process. He wants far too much for it, and I have bank emails for him regarding why they won’t shell out a loan for it. He’s let it fail. He doesn’t advertise, the site hasn’t been updated since 2008, and more and more people grow concerned with his behavior. After telling me he’d work a deal WITH ME, he pitted my offer against another buyer who is…

Fired for sharing her salary…
Worth reading the full article here She shared her salary on Tik tok, employer got her to take it down, then fired her “in case” she shares confidential information in the future.
It started out harmless. When I was new, he invited me to on break to lunch. I didn’t know the area well and really appreciated it, but noticed he was smirking so proud when we see coworkers. That was my first inkling of something weird He invited me in the future, and I’d politely decline. At some points I went with female coworkers and I remember seeing his face and sensed something off like jealousy, which is totally uncalled for as if he has some strange claim on me From then on I cut the friendly talk. Absolutely no more time with him than a brief nod. I don’t smile at him, and I’m way too “busy” to engage in convo. However his advances continued, and recently escalated as I think he’s trying to start a rumour of something happening between him and I as a couple coworkers said as…
pay minimum wage for back-breaking labor don’t give breaks if the state laws don’t require them don’t call you back after you’ve left numerous messages asking about application status don’t give a clear yes or no answer as to whether you got the job after they said they would tell you do not “get back to you within this week” or ever require 24+ hrs notice to call in sick in the age of COVID Did I mention don’t ever contact you back? What is more typical “no one wants to work?” nonsense you’ve seen?
