I have been working at my current company since January of 2021. I’ve been in this industry for almost a decade. No degree (I’m currently in my senior year though), but I do have two industry certifications. However, my department manager, who manages my team as well as our A/R team, is just awful. This was her first management/supervisory position, and she only got the position because she complained that someone else had been promoted, and she’d been there longer than that person. That was 4 years ago. In 2022 alone we have hired and lost 3 going on 4 A/R reps (one might be quitting, but she’s not sure yet). My team was a little bit more stable; the previous team lead had worked there for 3 years and left in November.…

Good jobs advice- please help
Hello everyone, long time lurker and I absolutely love this community and message. I’m a college student and during the summer between semesters I typically DoorDash so I can have my own hours and still make fairly decent money but recently my situation has become a bit dire. My primary issue when I take regular shift type jobs is that I have an extremely hard time saying no and as a result almost always end up overworked and living for the shitty job while feeling trapped like I can’t leave it or tailor my hours to my own convenience. I guess my only question is despite almost all jobs being completely crappy are there any that people find to be at least somewhat bearable that treat workers with respect. Just thinking about a job fills me with so much anxiety about having to deal with shitty managers and customers I’m…
Sooo I’m being offered a job I desperately need. I need any job right now. However the recruiter has said himself that the pay is really low for someone like me and that I’m overqualified. The salary I’m being given will just pay my bills. So my plan is to continue interviewing nonstop and as soon as I get a high paying job to quit this one with 2 weeks notice. This company gives a few hundred when you join for a “wellness stipend” as well as a “work from home stipend” to set up a home office. They’re not a bonus as far as I know it’s a stipend. I’ve never had this offered before so I’m wondering what will happen when I quit? Will I be forced to pay the stipend back? I do know bonuses need to be paid back but that’s different maybe ? Anyone know…
Now which one of yall did this?
God my boss is such a wanker
That is all. I don’t understand why his M.O is to drive me to the ground and crush morale.
