First: I talked to another coworker once for thirty minutes until the end of my shift, during which it was obvious I hadn't completed my task. I still have NO idea how I got away with this since this same coworker reprimanded another for doing the same just two days later. Second: Same store. I took “bathroom breaks” every ten to thirty minutes for an eight hour shift and got very little done. Scrolled this sub on my phone during each “break”. Third: Different store. I'd often walk around with my phone out, hide in the backroom, hide from customers, and extend each bathroom break an extra five minutes more than it needed to be, and often took anywhere from one to four “breaks” each hour. Why don't we get organized? Start a movement. Make some real ass change. Honestly. I want things to change. I don't want my 3 year old daughter to fall into a cycle of work, sleep, repeat when she grows up. I dont want her to be a slave to the owners. Excuse me if I'm just coming out of nowhere. I say we start a movement, choose a representative to get into office/presidency, pray they don't get corrupted or bribed, and make real change. Yes. It will be a hard ass battle, but we are in the majority! You guys think this can work?

Ive already discussed the bullshit my work puts me through but im just so fucking fed up I wanna just quit but I know it’s easier to find a job when you have a job, I gave up Saturdays and put up with basically white room torture, I fainted two weeks ago at work and was left on the floor for an hour cuz im the only person in the place all day only to be told im not doing enough and im treating it like a holiday, my boss doesn’t let me use my phone or watch youtube on the work computer so i have to just sit there they abuse the fact im twenty to pay me less than min wage and I hate it

I'm a conservative, Christian, and an Army veteran who supports capitalism (but not cronie capitalism and worker exploitation like what happens in America and China). I've heard from many that antiwork has a lot of supporters for socialism and/or communism. I'm working on a PhD and want to learn how others view the world and not about shutting down new ideas. I'm very aware that people say true Communism has never been tried and has always been hijacked from tyrants. My question is to those who want America to embrace these systems, do you think that a country with over 600 billionaires, evil corporations, and shifty politicians on both sides of the isle would actually be the right place to start that? Don't you need a fresh start? And if you say “we have to burn the system down”, these people could just run, hide, and destroy the country leaving…

Background: My husband works for a construction company that is contracted by an American professional sports organization. The have a team of guys who travel the US with the organization and build things for their events. I’m trying not to get too specific here. The situation: This week they began working in a place where they don’t feel safe. They’ve had guns pulled on them at gas stations near the venue on two separate occasions (one was a road rage incident and the other was a wrong place at the wrong time situation). Their cars were broken into at the event venue and thousands of dollars of equipment was stolen. The venue security actually blamed their team and said, “it must have been an inside job because this doesn’t happen here.” Their bosses are not at this location with them. It’s just the team. Im finally going to put my 2 weeks notice in at my job tomorrow as the first step of pursuing MY goals and wants and needs. Im pretty miserable with the job I'm doing and the pay I'm making all while knowing there are better things out there. Namely, better pay for doing the same job (i test engines on a dynamometer). I have an interview everyday this upcoming week and im pretty excited for it. But tomorrow will be the day that i finally put my 2 weeks in, regardless if i land a job yet or not. I know its risky but I'd rather be free to do what i want to do and take as much time doing interviews as needed than to be working a shitty afternoon shift being miserable with no time for leisure or job hunting
