Long story short, I was working with a new account (about 6 months) and came to the conclusion that it was not working out. I tried to change how I was responding, which just caused the client to double down efforts to undermine me. I asked to change accounts. My Supervisor who had up to that point been very understanding and proactive, agreed but it was up to the Dept Mgr. I spoke with him directly and not only was he aggressive and extremely uncouth, he threw my condition in my face. Just a genuine question here, not sure if this is the right place though. For the last few weeks I have been reading the something unbelievable stories in this sub, and have been watching videos on the work environment in the almighty US. Since I work for FedEx, who states it's so good for it's people, i now wonder, are they really? How is the work environment for my FedEx colleagues in the US, (or other countries)?

My supervisor told me I would have to use a full PTO if I had a doctor's appt. I COULDNT use a partial day. Or sick day. I went to HR and “asked” for clarification. A month goes by and I emailed HR to follow up. 2 weeks later my supervisor announces her retirement.

I have been at my job for over 22 years, me and my old boss has worked together for 17 of them. He was great but is retiring soon. I have a new boss that has taken the reigns over. He is a previous foreman, and is very business oriented. To be plain he is making my job much tougher than it should be. He is even rubbing others the wrong way, by being overbearing. So my job hired two summer help guys for a couple of months.
