It's not a competition, you dont have to try to be richer then other people. There is a point where you have all of the money you could possibly use and give some back to the people maintaining your empire. Yes, i realize most of these corporations are owned by multiple people. No, I dont care. At the point that the entire company could function perfectly well without you maybe you should consider that, because you have enough money to retire 3 generations of your family.

With that being said, you should be external somewhere else. I took a 50% pay increase by switching companies and keeping the same role. Your loyalty rewards your company, not yourself.

I work in the accounts department in a construction company, I took the job because I need money to live. Hindsight would have told me to not take the job and keep looking, it's such a hostile environment, all very clicky and my department is seen as an annoyance almost (my perception). I've posted before about the level or ignorance and racism I hear, I'm quietly applying for other job on company time but seriously getting on a downer with he lack of response and the shit in this hell hole I'm working in.

Long story short. I got punched in the nose, blood everywhere but me and the guy who punched me (my co-worker) are both in trouble (idk why im in trouble) but apparently they cant tell who started the fight even though my blood was everywhere and i mean everywhere. ​ How should i play this?
