My girlfriend is currently looking for a new online job and recently had an “interview” for a company that turned out to be a conference call with about 30 prospectives. During said call it was said that this job would require a license for which they would need to provide their own funding, but they did not mention how much it would cost. I have no experience in this matter but this seems predatory to me. Does anyone have any advice?

Philosophy of this Sub-Reddit
I’m struggling to understand the philosophy behind r/antiwork. The description it is minimal, and the average posting here is a “I hate my job/boss” type post. What exactly is the aim of this subreddit? Is it in fact “anti-work”, and pushes the idea that people shouldn’t have to work to live? If so, how does that work? Is it a subreddit for more favorable working environments, pay, benefits, etc…? I think most can get down with that. Or is this just a venting area for people who’ve been wronged by their employer?
So I recently left my previous company I worked at for 9 years to work for a new company within the same industry for the primary benefit of the new job being completely remote. My previous job used to be in-office until covid, then switched to WFH, but the idea there was always that it was going to be temporary. So when the opportunity arose to work for a new company where that wasn't even a consideration (plus a nice pay bump), I jumped at it. I originally never cared about remote work, but the lockdowns occurred during an interesting period of my life. For starters, my wife and I had our first kid literally 3 months before the pandemic started, and I also had started a serious diet where I was trying to lose a bunch of weight and get in shape. When things went remote for covid, I…
“We are working on it “
I work in a hospital. For the past 18 months I have been working 7 on 7 off 10 hour shifts that usually end up being 12 hour shifts. I'm one of two people with more than 5 years here. I have been telling them for 6 months that starting December I would be transitioning to a PRN schedule. For those not medical, this means I pick and choose the days and hours I work every month. These positions don't have benefits, but the pay is usually several dollars an hour higher. With my shift differential I will be making about 40$ an hour, which means I can work 10 days a month and make the same amount of money. I have told the supervisor and her boss that if I don't have a new contract reflecting the new pay, I will not work until I do. They have tried…
Bad remarks from boss of my boss
Long story short: I got hired 2,5 years ago at a government agency to do a bachelor degree level job. They didn’t actually needed anyone to do this but they needed someone to cover front desk and do some basic admin but they weren’t allowed to hire bumper for admin jobs. I kept insisting in my time there I want more responsibility and do the things I’m hired for but never got it. Today I had a meeting with the boss of my boss cause I kept insisting a lot lately. There she broke it to me that people have been complaining that I’m absent for an hour from time to time and people don’t know where I am (which I’m sure never happens, I don’t leave the workplace and arrive on time and do my 8 hours where a lot of people come in and go as they please)…
Inventing the lunch break
It's a very strict time limit so when it's my turn to assign tickets, I just acknowledge every single ticket so none of us get dinged. My manager hasn't caught on yet!
I have been at this company for only 2 months I was hired to do data entry for 4 weeks and then it’s work from home. My second week of training they said we don’t have enough work so they started sending me to the back office to fold letters all day!!!! That’s all I do. I have maybe done data entry 6 hours of the whole week the rest of the time I’m folding papers. They won’t send me home because we don’t have enough work, I feel like they needed someone to fold letters under the guise of data entry bc no one would take this position. I am making $6 less than the people who fold letters. I am starting to hate it here and want to be doing the job I was hired for, not the work they need caught up on.
