Long story short: My job offered me a retention bonus to stay an extra year. They are a small company of maybe 50 employees…this is their second year open and I was the first person offered a bonus like this. They created a contract stating I have to pay it back if I quit before then. This contract was clearly a copy/paste from google somewhere and wasn’t drawn up by an actual attorney but I did sign it. They have had multiple people accuse them of discrimination, ethical violations and completely looked the other way when I reported another supervisor making homophobic remarks. My ex boss(I know him for 3+ years now) asked me to relocate to another country for work with great salary, and he has everything figured out. (Visas, Work permits….) I said, I doubt that it will be so easy as he is describing it, to get work permit in that country.. Did my investigation. Send him couple of links, with helpful information, to speed up the process and ease it also. Also saying, that he needs to think of this, that, this, that…. Because those are the questions that will needed to be asked. His reply was: “Man, can you stop applying all this negative energy to it? stop asking questions and sending me this links. Ok so yesterday I had like an epiphany, that my last two jobs, one I don't really count considering I was only there for two days, so like the former job I got fired from because during that time I kept fucking up, no matter how much I tried, and it was that time I was trying to get help for undiagnosed ADHD and executive dysfunction and trauma from a bus accident. It was causing me to forget shit or accidentally overlook things. I'm just so fucking tired of sending dozens and dozens of applications to hear nothing back. Even Walmart has ghosted me. I have a seasonal job, but I'm down to the wire and can't even sell anything to earn something to pay my rent. I'm sick to my stomach with how stressed I am about this. I just want a job. Something, ANYTHING. I'm so tired of being turned down. On top of that, I still haven't gotten unemployment! I applied in August and still nothing!! I hate it here. I just don't want to even deal with this stupid workforce bullshit, especially when everyone I know says “you'll get something” or “just keep applying”.

So the site i work at decided due to so many call outs that they will just close on thanksgiving. Now they are demanded mandatory over time for 3 days in a row. I’ve never had this happen while working for them

As the title says. We received an email at work saying there's a Christmas party on a Friday of December the whole day at a bar. There will be alcohol and food people will be drinking. At the bottom of the email it says if we are not attending the Christmas party we must attend to work as usual on the day and work our normal hours. In other words if you don't want to waste your day drinking with your co workers and the boss you must work. Absolutely disgusted.

I never ask to be in the system and I never asked to play this rigged game. I just want to live instead of working and enslaving myself to someone else. How do you get out of this system ? Is there a way out ? I want out now…I’m not kidding.
