A question I was once asked at an interview for a factory job. My naive ass was thinking the occasional overtime was needed and said yes. When I got my first schedule it was 60/hours a week, every week, indefinitely. I noped outta that shit so hard.

Questions about automating my Job ?
Hi their, I work as a Data Entry for a biotech company and basically we get a blood samples with referrals and I have to enter the data on the referral to the computer, and after doing so, I scan the referral into the case. But I have two concerns regarding the automation process: 1) Can I take the pdf referrals do some experiments on it on my own time on my personal computer giving the fact no one will ever have a look at them nor will I upload them to any kind of cloud storage ? 2) if for any reason my boss knew about the script that I wrote I'm obliged to give him my script (I know I can choose not to because I work on it without getting paid to do so, but is their a way he can force me to ? Micro managing boss
Hello! I am a manager at JCPenneys for a certain department. And my job requirements are to make the schedule for my team and I, approve time off for them. On Mondays we have a back office day where we do paperwork, schedules, meetings etc. my department gets no hours what’s so ever, when I leave someone else comes in. There is rarely 2 people working at the same time. Because of that I do not get a office day, I have to be on the floor. I currently have been having extreme issues with my General Manager. She is extremely micromanaging. She changes my teams and I schedule constantly. When my team asks for time off I always give them that time off and have coverage. My team is very good and I feel like if they are asking for that time off they should be able to get…
I’m starting to hate my new job
I'm stating to get sick of this fucking job. It's a social work position, but they're making do all this bullshit transportation of clients at times. Luckily they give out a company car, but I'm starting to wake up consistently at 6 in the morning to transport one of my clients to school, and the kid lives 1 hour from his school. I've been driving 2 hours every single day and my boss still gives me shit about overtime, even though I am consistently working 45+ hours a week. My boss will literally go through my timesheet and change it so I barely get paid what I'm working. It annoys me, and I don't feel like I can change jobs because it would take forever to get a new position that pays well and at least has some kind of PTO. I'm sick of driving everyday, and doing home visits,…
Yeah, no thanks
What leadership is not…
If you manage human beings: Don't keep everything to yourself and refuse to delegate tasks. Don't block off every minute of your calendar because you don't want to do your job. Don't ask candidates why you should hire them when you never even read the resume. Don't be a dick!!! Don't be an asshole!!! Don't only work when your boss needs something within the next hour.
