Christmas Party Nonsense
So its that time of year, and after a few years hiatus my work is throwing a Christmas Party. I have not attended one at this company as I started after last Christmas, but nonetheless- the Christmas Party nonsense has begun!!! It started with an email at the end of November. That we were having a Christmas Party. They said more details would follow. Spoiler alert. They never followed? So here we are, the night before the party. I ask what time it's at because, well, no one ever told us. It's at 5. I'm off at 5. I say I'm off at 5, they say that they are letting people leave early. I asked what time, cause like, I like to know my life? I take my lunch at one and come back at two, I want to know if I should move it. So anyway, we all got…

To top it off she emails me after hours via E-MAIL stating her e-mail which she is currently taking to me on is not working. And others are not working but offered no names lol. We have a 30 day password policy and they can’t ever do the password change so they get locked out. Or just don’t know how to use the system. Yet I’m the own who is not skilled in my job lol

I was actually kind of surprised since it’s been very slow at work and we are not making a lot of money, I actually had to go to the food bank last week. I can’t get my grandkids anything for Christmas. Commission varies, for those who know, Times are extra hard right now. I like my boss and I like her boss, so honestly if I could kick in I would because I genuinely like them, but they know we are all struggling and we never get bonuses or Christmas gifts, so it’s a total gift up. I think I’ll tell the…

90 days notice to take a day off…
Casual Australian worker here. Trying to take a day off. My work changed the booking time from 30 days to 90. Wth. This can't be legal. From what I've read standard time should be like 7 days. Some people even say 24hrs notice.
