So on Monday this week my I got my boss lets call him mark just for example (director of infrastructure) to approve a reimbursement for a training i had to go to last week. He approved it and sent it to the finance department, so cool ok. On Wednesday I go to the finance department and ask if my reimbursement is being processed and one of the lady's who work in there tell me there is nothing with my name on it, like literally no paper or anything. So I'm like wtf. I go to the director of operations and tell her whats going on she said she'll look into it. In the meantime she sent my boss Mark a scathing email, he comes to me and says “hey WHEN YOU HAVE AN ISSUE YOU COME TO ME AND ONLY ME DO YOU UNDERSTAND??”in a loud and condescending tone. I…

I’ve been notified by my manager over text that they have apparently received a penalty from the retailer for my place of work being opened an hour late (the lateness is true, I was an hour late and this is my first time being late to an opening). As such, they have said that this penalty will be deducted from my wages this month. I have asked for the amount of this penalty and for confirmation of this penalty notice but have not yet received this. My contract also doesn’t contain any information regarding pay deductions. Can they in fact deduct my pay? I have a feeling they can’t but again, I don’t even know if they have received a penalty notice.
This happened a handful of years ago. We had a transfer come on the team from another department within the company. He was nearly completely deaf, meaning he could hear really, really loud noises but nothing else. He did quite well speaking out loud and he read lips to understand what was being said to him. No big deal, it just was an easy adjustment to make sure you faced him when talking and talked one at a time. He was a decent team member in the beginning, but after a while started making comments to me and the only another female on the team. Things like, “why haven’t you made the coffee yet” and just other stupid old-school “jokes” that made fun of women. My role gave him instructions on customer requests/needs. He would often not follow the instructions and I would get calls from customers complaining. Often I…

Seeking a part time nanny to watch your 3 young children and you can only offer $12 to &15 an hour!? Not surprisingly they are conservative. That's barely enough pay for one young child, much less three. I wonder how many applicants they're going to get…
I think people should start applying for low-paying positions that they have no intention of working, do the interview and if hired, set up the first-day schedule, and then just never show up to work! Especially if the places are reliant on out-of-state, seasonal temp workers that expect you to be there on a certain date! This will leave them scrambling to fill the position and it will give their customer a negative experience! If they're gonna keep these low-paying businesses afloat by bailing out their banks, printing trillions of dollars into existence out of nothing in order to do so. Let's put these businesses out of business!

Hi everyone, A family member of mine suffered a health emergency while on their shift and their manager refused to let them leave early, even though this family member was telling the manager that they were really not feeling well. They worked for at least another 4 hours. The situation was made worse by management’s purposeful neglect to address harassment happening by coworkers toward my family member. Once the workplace got confirmation of their neglect through post-medical records, they have gone silent on my family member and obviously trying to avoid responsibility. My question is if there is anything that can be done from our end against the company? Their neglect from multiple stances is just not right. We’re located in the US. Sorry for the vagueness, I will provide extra information if possible but I’m keeping it vague for safety reasons(?).
