I work at a grocery store and this is mostly just me ranting. The GM gave our department the “deal” that for 4th quarter (which is 4 months long) if we have a 95% accuracy at the end of it she will buy us lunch. Like what kind of shit fucking deal is that? A fucking lunch for an impossible standard. All cause she wants to get her bonus when she already gets wayyyyyyy more than 100k a year salary A fucking lunch that most won't even be able to get cause of schedules and not being there and whatever else. And I bet you it'd be something stupid like fucking pizza. Like she wants us to work our fucking asses off for a fucking lunch. I don't get more money for doing more. And you want me to try more when I won't get paid for it and I'm…
Month: April 2023
“Billionaire owners paying their workers millions for the revenue they produce through their labor,” sounds like a leftist wet dream. I genuinely do not understand. Isn’t this what we want every industry to look like? The owners basically bend over and take it whenever a CBA is up. The power players unions hold by threatening a strike or lockout is other worldly. They’re like police unions, but instead of ensuring that murderers get punished with vacations, they make it so billionaires can’t take advantage of the inner-city youths they employ. Sounds antiwork as all hell to me.
It’s already like that here in the US.

Between the years 400 – 1400, feudalism took place as the political economic system. Feudalism is pretty much like capitalism. Most people are peasants without rights. They don't own their lands, a noble landowner owns the land and the fruit of their labor and at the head of the state stands a king, who controls almost everything. There's no democracy at work, no labor rights, nothing. Fast forward to 1500, and capitalism replaces feudalism. Yes, there's a scientific revolution and the invention of printing press, but the average peasant is still very poor and has no rights. Capitalism gave rise…

Raisin’ Cane’s is evil
I worked at a Raisin’ Cane’s in a college town, so every night there would be a line out the door of drunken and insufferable college students eager to get their hands on the most mediocre chicken ever. Even when the doors close at 2am, the line is still so long that it takes another hour to serve the stragglers, and another 2 hours to clean the restaurant, so it would be often that we wouldn’t leave until 5am. Halloween weekend was the worst. For those 3 days, I’d come home so exhausted that I’d wake up and the sun would be setting, just in time for my next shift. I didn’t get to see the sun in those 3 days and needless to say I had a breakdown at the restaurant, almost collapsing in a cursing fit in front of both staff and customers. There’s no seating for employees…
