I have a good job ($25/hr) and I only work MAX 1 hour a day but I HAVE to be in office 8hr a day 5x a week and there’s no more work for me to do as I work in a very specialized role in a massive company and my boss does not care to change anything as they have worked in the role forever. I have my own cubicle and computer and can screw off to a certain degree but not like turn on a movie or anything as it’s a busy office building. Anyone got better idea of things to do than scrolls Reddit all day?

I don’t have the will to go back to work
In 2021, I suffered from a major depressive episode and psychosis that lead to me quitting my job, leaving my apartment with roommates, and moving back in with my parents. I am now diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. I am soon going to apply for disability, as I am running out of money and I don’t want to be as independent from my parents as I can. Right now, I can’t imagine myself going back to work. I still think about ending my life most every day, as my future seems bleak. I used to work at an industrial laundry facility, which if I actually being paid what I was worth, I think I would have been content. I still didn’t like my job, but I’d be more willing to put up with it. I don’t want more money. I just want enough to live, and for my sense of joy…

4 Day Workweek Proposal Templates
Corporate Proposal Template / Nonprofit Proposal Template The 4 day workweek is one of our best tools right now in the advocacy of worker's rights. This is because research shows that it benefits employers as well as employees, and we all know that capitalists won't give workers an inch unless they're also getting something out of it. I created these templates as tools for anyone to use, and I encourage any of you to utilize them to negotiate a 4 day workweek at your workplace.
Quick primer on modern economics, and the reason why the vast majority of people work exceptionally hard, but get almost nowhere in terms of financial security: The rich use assets to make their money. The working class use their labor and time to make money. Let me explain: A working class person trades their valuable time and labor for dollars. This is almost always in the form of an hourly wage, but can be capped using salaries for added benefit to the business (get more labor for less money). Now, the worker is paid their wage, must spend a good deal of it on necessities and artificially expensive housing, and is left with almost nothing to save or invest, so they naturally spend what little they have on convenience and entertainment to get some of their precious time back, and to enjoy what they can where possible. The average worker…
Everyone wants higher wages and better living but nobody buys anything made in the USA. Yes it costs more but it’s made by your neighbor who relies on that job to feed their family. When someone creates a product ALONE with their blood, sweat and tears and tries to sell it, everyone just buys the cheaper one made overseas. Then they complain when the American companies starts laying off its workers because nobody is buying the products anymore. We brought this on ourselves for buying everything online, overseas and not accepting anything other than the cheapest price. Hell some people will buy the same cheap product that breaks over and over again instead of the more expensive higher quality one. It really confuses me how these same people turn around stunned when other companies start laying off workers. Now I get corporate greed plays a bigger role but there is…
Having to “work”
I hate having to work for 8 hours when I only do 3 hours work.
Pay for interview
My local coffee shop owner (SE Portland, Ore.) said he has trouble filling positions, because: 1) Baristas and service workers want $20-25 an hour for the interview. 2) High-school ages are not applying. 1) Wow, that's a power move. 2) It is an upper middle class neighborhood, but does the 16-18 yr old need some extra money? And I' can see that there are not that many of this age around town
