What am I supposed to do?!
I have a head cold, I know it's a head cold, I get them at least once a year when allergies are bad, or like right now, when we have fire smoke all in our air. Who goes to a doctor for that anymore? Especially when all they will do is tell you to just take allergy meds, ibuprofen and or Aleve for the headache, and if necessary, chest congestion meds if it gets worse. Also, and my manager knows this, I take public transportation(getting a car soon), so why am I going to go make at least 2 bus drivers possibly sick, plus a whole bus of people? If I'm not willing to expose my co-workers, or the office people whose desks I lean over and clean everyday, why tf would I do it to people on a bus? I'm at a loss and don't know what I should…
I’ve been seeing a lot of post relating to shitty working conditions and culture. I don’t think we are against working, but rather want to work with fair conditions and compensation.
https://imgur.com/0K4QOp7 They're safety related rules like labeling our food and keeping the store clean (which yes I understand he can be upset about) which I and most others do follow, the part that caught my eye though was the part about keeping tips. I'm almost certain that's not legal, but I'm sure someone knows better than me. Same manager told me when I was first hired “We start everyone at 8.25/hr but after your tips it's basically $13-14/hr :D” after I told him I was making more at my last job lol
Tomorrow is the 30 anniversary of my company, it's like a huge thing with everyone coming (like 100 people from all the country). Last Friday we received an email saying we have to adapt a popular song to the company and our work… You get it.. To sing by agency in front of everyone. It's like a nightmare to me, it's my first “big” company after I got my master degree (at 32)… Wtf!? Does all HR have stupid and humiliating ideas like that? Seriously???
