What is going on with employers? Two reputable agencies in a row have strung me along for months. HR/Recruiters would set a check in date and blow it — so I’d have to follow up. Then another 1-2 interviews — another blown off check-in, rinse and repeat.
I’d eventually get an offer — but by the time they got things together, I was mega turned off.
I’d often be balancing interviews for full-time jobs with smaller freelance gigs, but never felt like I could hold that over them as leverage.
What could I have done amidst the drawn out interview cycle that could have helped close the loop faster — or been used to leverage a better offer?
