I got a job offer today with a new company and not even gonna give notice to my current employer.
I've been on medical leave from my current job from having foot surgery and decided to take the time to find a better opportunity while out. My current job wants me to do others work all the time and doesn't offer any benefits past pay and I live super close so gas wasn't killing me to get to work. I enjoyed working with most of the staff but they ignored the fact that I needed surgery asking me to do things that just made it worse. I would complain to my manager but her attitude was do it or else.
This new job offers a slightly higher to almost the same pay and full benefits and promised me I would only have to do the job I was hired to do. Willing to work with my restrictions, added bonuses and still super close by.
Since I am on medical leave I won't be hurting my current employer as they are functioning fine without me. I just dont see a reason to give them notice at all. They didn't seem to care that they were part of my problems so why should I care about theirs.
