Started a new job last month. Just showed up to a locked building/empty parking lot. Never a single mention that we’re off for Labor Day (unpaid) – we make it up by working this upcoming Saturday. Boss seemed upset that I texted him so early, well…I mean…I’m used to working holidays in the service industry. Was I just supposed to assume we were off and not show up?
