Came on to say not all managers are arse holes
I had a colleague who works for me cry, in their monthly appraisal, because my feedback though critical was done in a nice way, they went on to explain in their last job, her managers used to scream, shout and belittle all the staff.
I then said something like “I did not expect this level of performance from you, you've been amazing”
They absolutely lost it started wheeping. (happy tears)
I thought I would share.
