Ok, so a few Red flags: info on the job listing was VERY minimal— basically a position name, address, and brief description of the job (cleaning aviaries and feeding the birds, pretty much). No salary, no shift hours / days listed.
I applied on a whim and got called back before some other jobs I applied to contacted me, so i figured, what’s the harm in checking it out?
What are some good questions to gauge the work environment? I’ve never worked with animals before and really don’t know what to expect.
I’ve already decided I’m not taking it if it pays less than $~10/hour (still crazy low, I know, but I live in one of the poorest US states, & bills / rent are very cheap here, compared to the rest of the country).
Mostly sampling the sauces of the entry-level job market out of curiosity, because I have some months to fill before I go back to school in the spring.
Anyway, any input on what I should ask to figure out whether the position is likely to be fun or fucked?
