written up on vacation.

So I'm a manager for a large retail chain with small stores and a skeleton crew. To give a little background I've been with the company 5 years and 1 day. The past year they've been shoving more product in the store than we can put out while cutting hours and adding more tasks every day. Random special events come up with extra things to do every other week. Displays that have nowhere to go. I've been very vocal about these issues that were stuck with product we cannot find places for anymore because they don't sell. My vacation expiration date was coming up on the 31st. Everyone else got their vacation time in first and I had put in for it over a month prior. The past year they've been shoving more product in the store than we can put out while cutting hours and adding more tasks every day. Random special events come up with extra things to do every other week. Displays that have nowhere to go. I've been very vocal about these issues that were stuck with product we cannot find places for anymore because they don't sell.

My vacation expiration date was coming up on the 31st. Everyone else got their vacation time in first and I had put in for it over a month prior. At first I was told October and November were a black out period but at no time did anyone tell me that prior to using it. They let it go but tried to get me to try and get it extended. I've been denied vacation time for over 2 years before so I was not backing down on it. When I got back I had received a notification on the computer that I had been written up for safety violations. That is the only notice I had received. No further communication, only thing is the date was cited for a day I had already been on vacation for 5 days. My boss had not been around during that time either. When a manager puts in for vacation the store is credited hours for them not being there, his suggestion was to put in for vacation for extra hours and help but still come in to work because I'm salary given the condition of the store. I work roughly 65 to 70 hours a week and I get a day off once every 3 weeks at best. I've just lost all motivation for my job after 5 years. I've been sexually harassed, had labor laws violated against me and verbally abused by previous supervisors. There's so much that has happened in just the past year alone I can't even explain it all. I feel rested but so burnt out still I'm useless. Being salary and a small salary at that too I'm financially drowning and can't make all of my bills anymore but the no second jobs thing they have really put me in a bind besides an unpredictable schedule which may leave me working 14 hours a day every day with no additional pay.
