I work for the federal government under a system called AcqDemo where you are supposed to be paid based on contribution. Basically, if you go above and beyond you will be compensated accordingly. I filled 2 positions for 6 months this year and was told it wasn't good enough for anything other than the cost of living adjustment. Apparently doing the job of 2 people for half the year is not “above and beyond” the standard.
