worked at a chain restaurant for almost a year. worked there previously so I was immediately placed as a manager. received no retraining, routinely berated for doing things wrong. Worked every weekend. No vacations, called out maybe twice due to sickness (including covid), worked extra shifts, came in on closed days to literally scrub the floors. was the only person doing the required paperwork most of the time. caught the gm in multiple lies, including them taking tips before going on vacation for a week.
during my two week notice, which yes I worked bc one of the other managers is a decent guy, i was fighting a cold while working a 50 hour week. How does the owner thank me for all the shit I've dealt with.
you guessed it. a pizza on my last night.
