needing advice from strangers on the internet

hey all! so i’ve been at my current job for four months, before this i took a two year break from “traditional” work and lived off of my savings and doing side gigs. i’m in retail management, 40+ hours per week, great benefits and started off with 25 days of pto, also pretty good pay for being 24 years old with only two years of experience in the same position (in a different company), yet i’m still living paycheck to paycheck with no room to save anything. now, after four months of being on my feet for 9 hours a day and the heavy lifting daily, i’m remembering why i quit my old job two 1/2 years ago. i have had back and hip problems since i was thirteen, and it’s getting to the point where the pain is unbearable. i thought i could push through it for the pay…

hey all! so i’ve been at my current job for four months, before this i took a two year break from “traditional” work and lived off of my savings and doing side gigs. i’m in retail management, 40+ hours per week, great benefits and started off with 25 days of pto, also pretty good pay for being 24 years old with only two years of experience in the same position (in a different company), yet i’m still living paycheck to paycheck with no room to save anything.

now, after four months of being on my feet for 9 hours a day and the heavy lifting daily, i’m remembering why i quit my old job two 1/2 years ago. i have had back and hip problems since i was thirteen, and it’s getting to the point where the pain is unbearable. i thought i could push through it for the pay but i simply cannot, i’m over it already. if i quit, there are really no options for me to make money other than side gigs and those aren’t sustainable or reliable in my area especially during winter months.

a lot of the remote options i’m seeing either require degrees (which i don’t have) or experience (which again, i don’t have) and there is nothing in my area that would be a good fit for my situation. what the hell can i do? i’m at a loss & i’m tired of being in literal pain for a company that i don’t care about. advice on what can be done would be great, thnx <3
