I’ve been at this new job for a little over a month now. I am a janitor at an industrial plant for context. The total list of tasks they want me to do feels like way too much to be able to accomplish in a single day. And that’s with working my current shift, which has less tasks than the one I was actually hired for.
I know I naturally work slower than the average person, which doesn’t help my case, but working a pace faster than the one I’m currently working just isn’t sustainable for me. And that’s my problem. The workload they want me to do is just not sustainable for me. I’m already starting to feel the oncoming effects of burnout.
I don’t want to keep job hopping, bc I know that looks bad to future employers, and I had a hard enough time finding this job, but at this point I don’t know what to do. I can’t keep working like this. What can I do?
