No more than a number

Always remember, you’re no more than a number to your employer. Longest tenured manager at my job passed NYE. We catered her funeral today. Instead of closing for lunch, we were expected to prepare a banquet for 100+ people, while doing standard lunch service, and “share our condolences with the family” while running a restaurant. Adding insult to injury, her family still had to pay for the event, minus “room rental fees and a 5% discount on food”. Fuck corporate America and it’s money grabbing BS.
