Stingy businesses with job bonuses and rewards. Your experiences?

So my company merged with another, then they cancelled our pensions and took away the rewards program. We used to get points for good performance, doing good on projects, years of service, stuff like that. All gone now. They kept saying they’ll bring it back in some form but now it looks like they pulled the 3 card Monty on us. Every year the bonuses come later and later with more excuses and more added stipulations and higher performance requirements to pay less, of course they don’t tell you beforehand, but then apply it on to the bonus from last year that you have yet to receive. It’s just sad because I’ve been here a while and have seen what used to be. Through the years, these are the changes to the bonuses. At first we got a flat 12% bonus. At first we got a flat 12% bonus. Then they eventually knocked it down to 5%. Then for whatever reason they said our employee class is only entitled to 3% of that 5%. Then they started basing a multiplier off your performance. Now no one gets a 90-100%, you’d basically have to be able to do everyone’s job, come in early, leave late, be happy, solve all the company’s problems, never take a day off and smile every second. So for the best employees, the multiplier is 0.9. Last few bonuses they added more layers of multipliers. Now we have local and corporate multipliers based on profit. Each multiplier gives a max of 1. So now instead of being able to have a down payment throw some money in saving or recover from Christmas. I can now maybe eat at a sit down restaurant and take the family to the movies on my bonus sometime before summer. Last year they held our bonuses hostage for a extra couple month because they had to “work the numbers”. Just an excuse to find a way to cheat us out of the bonus no doubt. It’s a great job otherwise, It’s just sad to see the changes and what was and that eventually, the company succumbs to corporate greed and caring less for the employees. It sucks that it seems everything is always taken away, never added, even when you work harder.
