The Ethics line is supposedly run by an independent third-party according to the website. My report went straight to my company's human resources department who then anonymously contacted the department I'm in and asked around about an issue that only I've been complaining about. Some of the behavior from management towards me is kind of making sense now if they knew I was the one who made the report.
Just recently the HR representative contacted me about my independent third-party anonymous report but didn't seem to care if my department was breaking the law. The HR rep only seemed to care if it was negatively affecting me.
