I was getting close to the plant entrance about 35 minutes early as I normally do because I have a 3/4 mile walk from the parking lot to my department.
As I got to the entrance there were emergency vehicles and the life flight helicopter blocking the entrance to the building. Someone had gotten T-Boned and eventually died from the accident. There was no way to get in, there were even personnel from my company outside monitoring. I was told if I cant get in on time it was a write up for being late (company policy. Thats the handbook talking) That applied to the dozens of us waiting to get in. The only option we had were to park our cars on the shoulder of the road and walk to the building.
Im still processing this ridiculous bullshit. I took the punishment out of complete anger.
