Nothing like the good old bait and switch

Started a new job 2 weeks ago, was told through the interview and by the HR rep that did my final on boarding paperwork that the position I applied for was a 4 days a week 10hr shift role. Show up for my first day, and get told by the supervisor that I was considered a per diem employee until my 90 day probationary period was over. Went from being told 40hrs a week to getting 8-20hrs depending on coverage needed for call-ins/vacations. But the problem is definitely people simply not wanting to work. /s
