Timesheet Rounding/Wage Theft?

I'm currently a full-time RTA bus driver, scheduled for 40 hours/week. My employer is incredibly strict with the time clock, and we are “lucky” to get a five minute grace period to punch in before our scheduled time. For example, if I'm scheduled from 1200 to 2000, and I can punch in between 1155 and 1200. It is expected. We almost always HAVE to, and we start pre-tripping our vehicle immediately, or there is not enough time to do so before starting our route. The kicker? That five minutes is rounded to the time on our schedule. If I punch in at 1155, and I'm scheduled for 1200, it's rounded to 1200. I've stopped giving them that time as much as possible, but if we're even a minute late, we get written up. It causes a lot of stress. Anyway, I'm assuming this is wage theft. Does anyone have any…

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? I'd love to do something about this, even though I am actively looking to get out of this job.

Thanks!
