For 7 years, including to my interview, I have worn the same exact pair of pants every day. Not as in only this pair unwashedly. But I have bought this same pant in rotation over and over and it's all I wear.
Its never been an issue. They're completely opaque, plain black, stretchy, high waisted and not wildly tight. My shirt also complety covers my butt.
I have alot of health problems. Including with my vagina, bowels, intestines, liver, kidneys, stomach, spine, bladder and the area that formerly housed my reproductive organs (I had a hysterectomy a few months ago which caused complications). So I do have Dr documentation stating I can only wear stretchy pants due to this.
I walked in at 9:31. At 9:33 i was pulled into the office.
They said I had to go home and change into jeans as we can ONLY wear jeans – and they much have a zipper, pockets, buttons, and belt loops- now.
I pointed out my Dr's documentation, they said That it didn't matter they aren't allowing exemptions anymore.
I asked if I could have until Saturday ( my next day off) so I could have the full day to shop. They said no.
I asked if I could clock in, finish my ordering (flower orders are due in by 10 am thursdays, vase and supply orders by 12pm thursdays to come ), then take an extended break to go to shop. They said no. I guess expecting I'd say we'll shucks ill do it off the clock.
Wellllll. I'm the closest florist to Graceland. As in I work on Elvis presley blvd. I can see Graceland from our receiving dock. I can be there in under 2 minutes.
Guess who's going to be reallllllyyy busy because of Lisa Marie Presley dying and have no product to sell?
And to boot. I spoke to a supervisor from the union and they still have to pay me for today because I was never given any reasonable warning after 7 years or guidelines about a dress codes that could still work with my accomadations
