I declined it even though I wanted the role itself. I would be below minimum wage after mandatory retirement (6%) and health insurance premium (15%). How is this even acceptable? I’m not prone to blaming the whole country, but honestly the United States is becoming a dumpster fire. I could teach secondary school for $32k, but I turned that down too. Don’t come to the South, folks! We’re poor AF and apparently going to stay that way forever.
