Why do employers lie to you about the workplace / expectations before they hire you?

Started work 2 months ago at a new recycling facility. Not the greatest pay, but a little cushy since it was a supervisor position. The plant operates on Saturdays and rotate's shifts every other Saturday for employees, so we have to work every other Saturday, and then get a day off in the middle of the week the following week. I was fine with this when I signed up. I have done similar work to this before. Management decides to change their operating hours to be open 7 days a week, creating a new shift for supervisors. There are two of us and we work as a team but we do go solo on the weekends. We are working with a rotating team of 7. Sorry if I'm confusing you, I'm just trying to set up how the job was advertised to me. Anyway, it's been two months and I've…

Anyway, it's been two months and I've worked pretty much every weekend. Anytime I try to say no the manager(who at least behaves nice to me) acts like he really needs me ….etc, when I'm basically just filling his position so he doesn't have to be there.

I absolutely would not have taken this job if I knew they were going to be open 7 days a week , be understaffed and expecting me to come in.

I know my job isn't in jeopardy if I don't go in, but I also know my future with the company is. Which I honestly don't want anything to do with anymore.

I'm just pissed they tricked me into signing up for a job that is actually about 10 + hours more a week of work I was not expecting.

I was absolutely brutally honest in the interview about how much I value time off, and can commit like 20 hours of overtime a MONTH. Not 40+ hours.

Sorry to rant, I'm just tired and am so pissed I've been tricked yet again into taking a job I know I”m going to always hate, might line something up and quit yet again, tarnishing my CV.
