Throughout history great societies have risen, and fell with the end result being a feudal state, where whoever owned the most capital in the old world rules as nobility in the new one. My fear is that this time, the transition wont be so sudden, it could be a quiet one. Serfdoms could be held by Amazon or Walmart, with private militaries to protect corporate interests, and some might even treat it as normal or preferable. I’m depressed.
