Retail sucks even when you have a good boss

So I worked on Saturday this past weekend instead of working on Friday like normal. I usually work Monday-Friday because that’s my availability. My boss texted me yesterday and asked if I could work that day, and I told him I’d need another day off during the week to avoid working 7 straight days. He said “Well I can’t do that, just leaves me short employees a different day.” which is fair, but as much as I like this boss I’m not feeling like doing that and sacrificing my whole weekend. I told someone else from work about this and they were like “You poor baby, I’ve worked 10 straight before.” Just because you allow yourself to be subjected to that sort of abuse doesn’t mean I will allow the same for myself.
