Basically my manager called me into his office with the director of organizational development on the phone and said I was being let go from that moment due to lack of performance. That’s basically all he said so I’m guessing that means I was fired? Is getting laid off or let go any different?
He gave me the letter in the picture attached. I was a bit surprised as there was no communication as to when something like this might happen nor was I given notice. I thought it was odd that I was suddenly let go with no notice, is that normal?
Can I get unemployment while I look for another job?
