(Posting for my friend in this situation) His boss wants him to write up a step by step list of how to run different reports on the computer and how he goes about making formulas. He asked him to write all formulas down and to save the document with formulas so that it can be reperformed. When he came to the job, no one provided this for him and he created this workpapers in excel and the formulas. Is it a bad idea to give them a step by step list? Also, the boss wants to sit with him to watch what he inputs into excel. Is this weird? How should he go about this situation?
